After chapter one we see that God had created everything and He said it was "very good." As we move into our next chapter we see that God had taken rest form His work but not the kind rest that you and I need after a hard days work. God rested (stopped) His work because it was finished! We DO NOT serve a God who can get tired form His work. God set apart the seventh day as a day to honor Him and to reflect on His goodness in our lives.
